35 Acres of Property on Lamar Road Approved for Proposed Housing Development

A newly-proposed housing development in Macon is taking the next step forward after the Macon-Bibb Planning and Zoning Committee approved to rezone nearly 35 acres of property on Lamar Road.
According to the application, developers are proposing an 82-home development at 855 and 857 Lamar Road after the previous proposal was denied in 2024.
