Shutdown Pushes Warner Robins Families To Food Pantries As Demand More Than Doubles

Nearly a month into the government shutdown, more families in Warner Robins are turning to local food pantries for help, with one church-run facility reporting more than double its usual demand.

The Brev Hunt Food Pantry at First United Methodist Church on North Davis Drive is now serving 45 to 50 families each time it opens — up sharply from its typical 35 per week, said Rick Westray, who runs the pantry.
