Dublin Schools Cut 46 Jobs, 10 School Days Amid $13M Budget Crisis

Dublin City Schools approved the second phase of its deficit reduction plan Tuesday, cutting 46 positions and eliminating 10 school days as the district grapples with a $13 million budget shortfall and more than $6 million owed to the state health benefits plan.

The latest round of cuts totals approximately $3 million and includes reducing work days for some administrators, according to a press release from the district. The release says school board members will also waive their own salaries through June 2027.
