New Advisory Committee Gives Top Houston County Teachers A Direct Line To District Leaders

In Houston County, teachers aren’t just shaping young minds — they’re shaping district decisions, too.
The district launched a new Teachers Advisory Committee, giving educators a direct line to Superintendent Richard Rogers and other district leaders. The group will meet four times a year and includes each school’s Teacher of the Year — about 40 in all.
