Dublin City Schools is grappling with a severe financial crisis that has left parents uncertain about their children's education and employees worried about their paychecks, as district leaders work to address a deficit exceeding $13 million.

Interim Superintendent Marcee Pool, who assumed leadership two weeks ago following Fred Williams' retirement, presented the school board with an update on the district's financial situation Tuesday. The district faces a $13.4 million deficit by June 30, 2026, and owes nearly $7 million to the state's health benefits plan.
