Dublin City Schools Superintendent Fred Williams announced his retirement Tuesday, effective Friday, as the district grapples with a projected $12 million budget shortfall and faces potential insolvency.
Williams, who has served the district for 32 years including a decade as superintendent, made the announcement at a specially called school board meeting.
