Dublin City Schools Superintendent Fred Williams announced his retirement Tuesday after more than 30 years of service, leaving residents concerned about the district's future as it faces a $13 million budget shortfall.

Robert Shuman, a Dublin resident since 1977, said his family moved to the area because of its schools. Now, with three grandchildren attending the district's Irish Gifted Academy, he's worried about what comes next.
