As data centers expand rapidly across Georgia, Macon-Bibb County leaders say they’re prepared to evaluate proposals that may come their way — but warn that not every site is a good fit for the massive, resource-intensive facilities.
Planning and Zoning Executive Director Jeff Ruggieri said that while Macon-Bibb has not received a formal application for a data center, the county’s current zoning code is ready to handle such a development if it happens.
