Community Schools United Invites Volunteers to “Treat the Streets” at Burdell-Hunt Clean-Up
Friday, October 24th, 2025
Community Schools United is calling on residents, families, and volunteers to come together for a day of service and community pride at the “Treat the Streets: Burdell-Hunt Clean Up” on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Burdell-Hunt Magnet School, located at 972 Fort Hill Street, Macon, GA 31217.
This fall community clean-up event aims to unite neighbors in celebration and service ahead of Halloween. Volunteers will help pick up litter throughout the Burdell-Hunt neighborhood, document infrastructure concerns using See Click Fix, and enjoy festive Halloween treats. Lunch will be provided for all participants.
“Events like this show the true spirit of our community—neighbors working together to make our schools and streets a safe, welcoming place for families,” said Tia Lockhart, Community Schools United Coordinator. “We encourage everyone to sign up, bring a friend, and help us treat our streets with care.”
