$40 Million Plan Gives New Life To Central State’s Historic Buildings

Three historic buildings at Central State Hospital are getting a second chance at life after facing possible demolition under a 2023 executive order from Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp.
A Perry-based company, Ambryo Design, is investing $40 million to redevelop the Green, Walker and Jones buildings into a mix of housing, retail and event space.
