Wesleyan College Voted Best College/University in Middle Georgia for Third Consecutive Year

Wesleyan College has once again been voted Best College/University in Middle Georgia by members of the community in the 2025 Best of Middle Georgia awards. This marks the third consecutive year the College has earned the distinction, reinforcing Wesleyan’s leadership in higher education and its deep connection to the region it proudly serves.

Founded in 1836 as the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women, Wesleyan continues to prioritize innovation, inclusion and impact. In recent years, the College has launched key initiatives designed to accelerate equality for women—advancing its mission both on campus and globally.
 
Among these initiatives is the CEO Institute (Creating Equal Opportunities), a professional development program now in its third year. The CEO Institute equips students with essential leadership skills, personalized mentorship and hands-on experiences that prepare them to excel in academic, corporate and nonprofit environments.
 
In 2025, Wesleyan also opened the Entrepreneurship Lab (E-Lab)—a dynamic interdisciplinary space created to support student innovation, creativity and applied learning. The E-Lab serves as a hub for collaboration across majors and professional interests, offering resources and programming that empower students to develop and launch ideas that matter.
 
 
These efforts are being amplified through the College’s comprehensive SHE WILL campaign, a $61 Million multi-year investment in scholarships, campus infrastructure and transformational learning experiences. The campaign reflects Wesleyan’s bold commitment to building pathways for women to lead with confidence and purpose.
