OrthoGeorgia is pleased to welcome Lindsay Barrera, MD, to our team of orthopedic specialists. Dr. Barrera will be seeing patients in our Macon office at 3708 Northside Drive. To schedule an appointment, call (478) 745-4206.
Dr. Barrera is an Orthopedic Surgeon fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine. Her clinical interests include:

Arthroscopy of the hip, knee, and shoulder

ACL reconstruction

Total joint reconstruction of the knee and shoulder

Robotic-Arm Assisted (MAKO) partial and total knee replacement
Education and Training
Dr. Barrera earned her Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health from Pennsylvania State University, where she was also a Division I Varsity Women’s Gymnastics athlete. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed her Orthopedic Surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine.
She then pursued a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Bruce Levy, where she served as a team physician for the University of Central Florida.

Beyond the Clinic
Outside of medicine, Dr. Barrera enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons. Her hobbies include traveling, boating, hiking, camping, and attending sporting events.
