Macon Arts Alliance is proud to present their September exhibit, ”Overgrown", featuring work by Casie Trace of ArtSpace Macon. This exhibit features work that reflects Casie's experience living with endometriosis, anxiety, and infertility.

Macon Pride Ride
We’re hitting the streets for a pride-themed ride, highlighting LGBTQ+ landmarks and allied spaces around town. It’s part bike ride, part Safe Space Meetup – all community love. Rainbow fits, flags, and lights encouraged!

Ride Details:
Macon Bike Party is a free, slow-paced bicycle ride through Macon’s neighborhoods with music, friends, and fun. All ages and skills welcome – costumes and bike decor encouraged. It’s not a race, it’s a party on 2 wheels!

Registration: Bike Walk Macon office (830 High Street) at 6:00 pm. Before the ride, we’ll share city-cycling safety tips. Wheels are down at 6:15 pm and ends at The Rose Room (378 2nd Street) by 8:00 pm.
Riders are welcome to join or depart the group at any point. All ages are welcome.
A complete route map will be available on the Facebook event page 24 hours before the ride.
Remember to bring a helmet.
We’ll have FREE Bike Walk Macon lights, snacks, and water.

More Fun:
The Rose Room (378 2nd Street) is our official after-party spot, where riders can gather and socialize after the ride. We’ll finish at the Rose Room, so stay a while and make new friends! Plus, Bike Party attendees get a 10% discount on their tabs!

Ceramic Pumpkins Workshop
Learn various techniques with clay as you create your own ceramic pumpkins in this fun workshop. No experience necessary! Kristin Streilein will teach this class. $45 includes all materials to make 1-2 pumpkins ($35 for members). Open to ages 12 and up (ages 12-15 must be accompanied by a participating adult). September 11, 6:30-8:30 pm.

Creations will not be glazed (painted) during this class, but you can come back during our Clay Studio Night in June to glaze your creations in your choice of colors (registration for Clay Studio Night required). Clay Studio Night usually happens on the 2nd & 4th Friday of each month. Fee for workshop includes glazing during Clay Studio Night.

Watercolor & Wine
Learn to create a 9 x 12 watercolor painting in a fun, relaxed setting. No painting experience required. Bring a beverage of your choice to sip on while you paint. Artist Brandi Byrom will guide you through the steps to paint a yellow bird. $30 includes all materials for the class. The workshop starts at 7 pm and usually lasts 2 hours.

Macon Macabre Tour
Macon Macabre Walking Tour – a 1.5-hour public “easy walking” ghost, murder, & mayhem history tour that focuses on the downtown Macon commercial / nightlife district including both infamous stories and some lesser-known happenings here in the city.

Purchase Tickets at visitmacon.org with the Book Tour icon. Then, meet at Rose Room, located at 378 2nd St for a spooktacular specialty mocktail before the tour and included in tour admission.
