Metro Warner Robins Unemployment Rate Falls in July

The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that the two-county Warner Robins Metropolitan Statistical Area recorded an unemployment rate of 3.3% in July, down one-tenth from the previous month. A year ago, the rate was 3.6%.

"July’s unemployment numbers show progress across most metro areas, and even where there are slight upticks, year-over-year trends reflect our resilience. By investing in our workforce and supporting a strong environment for business, Georgia will continue to win and drive economic growth for all Georgians.”
The labor force in Warner Robins increased by 235 from the previous month and ended July at 89,889. That number declined by 197 from July 2024.
Warner Robins finished July with 86,910 employed residents, up by 342 over the month and by 96 from July 2024.
Warner Robins ended July with 79,700 jobs, unchanged over the month and up by 900 from July 2024.
In July, initial unemployment claims increased by 24 from the previous month and decreased by 73 from the same month a year ago, totaling 265.
