How Bibb County School's First Truancy Intervention Specialist Hopes To Tackle Absenteeism

The Bibb County School District is adding another tool to its effort to keep students in the classroom.
Alongside its existing Truancy Task Force, attendance coordinator and school-based staff who follow up with absent students, the district has hired its first truancy intervention specialist. The pastor of A Kingdom Life church in east Macon, Dominique Johnson, is stepping into the role.
