River Edge Behavioral Health Free July Community Roundtable - Mental Health Resources and Public Safety

River Edge Behavioral Health (River Edge) will host its third free Community Roundtable of 2025 on Thursday, July 24, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at River Edge Behavioral Health, 175 Emery Highway, Macon, GA.

This roundtable, "In the Know: Mental Health Resources at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center," will spotlight individuals and initiatives working at the intersection of behavioral health and public safety. The panel will feature:

- Parrin Cowan, River Edge Behavioral Health, Jail In-Reach Director

- Herbert Denard, Executive Director, Changing Mindsets, Inc.

- Daniesha Hill, River Edge Behavioral Health, Jail In-Reach Case Manager

- Michelle A. Jackson, River Edge Behavioral Health, Forensic Peer Mentor

- Tamara Leslie, River Edge Behavioral Health, Co-Responder

Panelists will discuss how collaborative efforts - from first police interaction, in the court system, through incarceration, and after-jail resources - are supporting individuals in crisis and enhancing community safety. Attendees will gain insight into the vital programs and services available at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and throughout the region.
