Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber Seeks Proposals for 2025–26 Leadership Baldwin Class Project
Thursday, July 10th, 2025
The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce is inviting nonprofit Chamber members to submit project proposals for the 2025–26 Leadership Baldwin Class Project. This initiative offers participants in the Leadership Baldwin program a chance to collaborate on a meaningful group project designed to benefit a local Chamber nonprofit, while simultaneously applying their leadership skills in a practical setting.
Nonprofit Chamber members are encouraged to propose projects that align with their mission and could benefit from community engagement, strategic input, or on-the-ground support from a dedicated team of emerging leaders.
As an example of past success, the 2023-24 Leadership Baldwin Class collaborated with Lockerly Arboretum. This partnership focused on developing a community-informed strategic plan, which involved gathering feedback from residents and stakeholders through surveys and outreach. The class provided Lockerly Arboretum with valuable insights into community needs and ideas for enhancing their programming and outreach efforts.
Kara Lassiter, President & CEO of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber, commented on the program's value, stating, “This project gives our Leadership Baldwin participants the opportunity to truly connect with the community in a meaningful way. Each class brings fresh energy and perspective to an organization that’s making a difference locally, and we’re proud to help facilitate that collaboration.”
The selected 2025–26 project will offer this year’s class a unique opportunity to create a lasting impact on a local nonprofit while simultaneously developing their leadership, collaboration, and project management skills.
Proposal submissions are due by Friday, August 1.
