"Art of Sound"
Macon Art Alliance’s July exhibit, “Art of Sound”, celebrates the importance of music, particularly within the Macon community. Featuring works from 10 local artists, this exhibition is in honor of Macon’s biggest music event, Bragg Jam, and has been certified a Bragg Jam sanctioned event. Come check “Art of Sound” out from July 16 to July 25!

Business After Hours: Middle Georgia Community Food Bank
We’re excited to partner with the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank for an evening of connection and community impact. The Food Bank serves families, children, and seniors facing food insecurity throughout our region—and you can help make a difference!
Please consider bringing a donation of nonperishable food items to support their mission. Most-needed items include:

Canned vegetables (low sodium preferred)
Canned fruits (no sugar added)
Canned meats – tuna, chicken
Soups, stews, chili
Breakfast items – cereal, breakfast bars
Rice, pasta
Macaroni and cheese dinners
Peanut butter
Note: No glass jars, please.

Join Historic Macon and for a presentation given by affordable housing solutionist Marjy Stagmeier, author of Blighted: A Story of People, Politics, and an American Housing Miracle. We will serve light refreshments at 5:30 and the presentation will begin at 6.

Blighted is a powerful narrative about the decades-long decay and remarkable two-year reinvention of Summerdale, an aging apartment community located in one of Atlanta’s grittiest corridors. From burnt-out, mold-infested buildings to traumatized classrooms, Blighted unfolds in the voices of ruthless drug dealers, phantom tenants, fearless landlords, the working poor, educators, and visionary local leaders.

Acrobat Camp Week 5: Outer Space
Looking for something different this summer? Join us at Catapult Movement Studio for ACROBAT CAMP! Your children will learn tumbling, aerial arts (trapeze, silks, hammock/sling, lyra hoop), acrobatic dance, ribbon, hoop dance, performance, parkour, partner tricks, and much more! All levels (beginner to advanced) are welcome! Invite your family and friends on the last day for a performance by all of the campers! Snacks and water are provided. Participants must bring their lunch, or purchase a meal plan. All participants must be potty-trained.

Corks & Canvas
Corks & Canvas is a fun, beginner-friendly painting workshop where you can relax and hang out with friends while a local artist teaches you how to recreate a beautiful painting. No painting experience required. Bring a beverage of your choice to sip on while you paint. The cost is $30, and includes all materials for an 11 x 14 painting (or $35 for a 16 x 20 painting). The workshops start at 7 pm and lasts two and a half hours. On July 19, Sierra Mahaffey will teach a painting of tropical leaves.
