Dr. Doug Rizer Joins MGA As Director Of Campus And Community Engagement

Middle Georgia State University (MGA) has appointed Dr. Doug Rizer as director of Campus and Community Engagement. In this new role, based on the Warner Robins Campus, Rizer will support student success initiatives and help strengthen the University’s outreach efforts across the region.

Rizer brings more than two decades of leadership experience in education and administration. Most recently, he served as director of operations for the Houston County School District, one of the largest and most respected systems in Georgia. Prior to that, he was principal of Houston County High School, overseeing more than 2,000 students and hundreds of faculty and staff.

At MGA, Rizer will serve as a key representative of the Office of the President, working to enhance day-to-day campus operations, develop community partnerships, and support academic planning aligned with workforce needs.

“Dr. Rizer brings a wealth of leadership experience and a proven ability to manage at scale,” said Dr. Christopher Blake, Middle Georgia State’s president. “He is the right person to help us continue building a strong, vibrant Warner Robins Campus.”

Rizer began his new role in July.
