The prestigious award was presented on Thursday during the 2025 ENGAGE Conference in Orlando, Florida, recognizing O'Brien's exceptional service and significant contributions to the credit union system.

The Professional of the Year Award celebrates seasoned credit union professionals who demonstrate outstanding innovation, leadership, and advocacy. O'Brien was one of four recipients, with one professional honored from each of the four states represented in The League’s footprint: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia.
