Macon's Watercolors
The Macon Arts Alliance is excited to present our May exhibit, “Macon’s Watercolors: A Local Perspective," now running through June! This captivating show highlights the work of local artists Mark Ballard, Warren Griffin, and Tom Hays. From portraits and landscapes to still lifes, experience the diverse and unique watercolor styles of these talented creators.

The Rainbow Shop [Opening Reception]
Join us for The Rainbow Show and celebrate Pride!
This colorful exhibition features monochromatic artwork—each piece inspired by a single color or by the spirit of Pride. Together, the works form a vibrant rainbow installation that honors identity, love, and creative expression from Middle Georgia LGBTQIA+ artists and allies.
Hosted by ArtSpace Macon & 478 Creatives. 10% of all art sales will go to Macon Pride to support a future community art project.

Acrobat Camp Week 2: Ninja Warrior
Looking for something different this summer?Join us at Catapult Movement Studio for ACROBAT CAMP! Your children will learn tumbling, aerial arts (trapeze, silks, hammock/sling, lyra hoop), acrobatic dance, ribbon, hoop dance, performance, parkour, partner tricks, and much more! All levels (beginner to advanced) are welcome! Invite your family and friends on the last day for a performance by all of the campers! Snacks and water are provided. Participants must bring their lunch, or purchase a meal plan. All participants must be potty-trained.

Make Music Day
“Where them fans at!” June 21st is Make Music Day, the first day of Summer, and First Baptist Church in Downtown Macon will be hosting the “Kick-Off” Program in a jubilation of live music @ 595 New Street with “Boots on the Ground” in Praise!

Corks & Canvas
Corks & Canvas is a fun, beginner-friendly painting workshop where you can relax and hang out with friends while a local artist teaches you how to recreate a beautiful painting. No painting experience required. Bring a beverage of your choice to sip on while you paint. The cost is $30, and includes all materials for an 11 x 14 painting (or $35 for a 16 x 20 painting). The workshops start at 7 pm and lasts two and a half hours. On June 21, Sierra Mahaffey will teach a painting of a sea turtle.

Paint & Sip
Learn to create a watercolor painting in a fun, relaxed setting. No painting experience required. Bring a beverage of your choice to sip on while you paint. Award-winning artist, Scott Serafy, will guide you through the steps to paint one of various subjects (florals, cityscapes, landscapes, still lifes). We’ve had great times over the last nine months of classes. One participant said, “We had a blast! Thank you for an amazing evening!” June’s subject will be a tropical village scene, loose and playful, in the style of the picture above. $30 includes all materials for the class. The workshop starts at 7pm and goes for 2 hours. There are 12 spots available for the class.

African American Music Experience
Hop aboard and take a comprehensive tour of Macon’s architectural and cultural highlights. Macon has over 6,000 structures on the National Historic Register and our knowledgeable tour guides will enthrall you with fun facts, and even a few quirky tales pertaining to those beautiful sights. Whether you’re a guest or a longtime resident, there’s always something new to learn about Macon. This tour highlights African Americans who played a role in shaping music in our city as well as a few that our internationally known. This tour allows entry to two pivotal attractions here in Macon: the Douglass Theatre and Otis Redding Museum.

Hayiya Summer Camp
Hayiya Dance Theatre offers an exciting and enriching summer camp experience for children ages 6 through teens, with each week featuring a unique theme designed to spark creativity and exploration. Campers engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including movement, visual arts, music, and more, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to discover new talents and interests. The dynamic, theme-based approach encourages self-expression, teamwork, and personal growth in a fun, supportive environment. Whether through dance, art, or music, campers have the chance to develop skills, make lasting memories, and build confidence as they dive into a summer of creativity and fun at Hayiya Dance Theatre.Students can register for 1 week or all 4 weeks.
