Wednesday, May 28th, 2025

The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that Warner Robins recorded an unemployment rate of 2.7% in April, down seven-tenths from the previous month. A year ago, the rate was 2.5%.

“This April, unemployment rates dropped across every region of Georgia,” said Labor Commissioner Bárbara Rivera Holmes. “When we connect Georgians with meaningful work, we're putting food on tables, creating stability for individuals and families, and building an economy where our children can see their future—right here at home. This is how we grow a stronger Georgia—one job, one family, one community at a time.”

The labor force in Warner Robins decreased by 827 from the previous month and ended April at 89,647. That number increased by 180 from April 2024.

Warner Robins ended April with 79,600 jobs, unchanged from the previous month and up 800 from the same time last year.

In April, initial unemployment claims increased by 20 from the previous month and decreased by 14 from the same month a year ago, totaling 263.
