State Replacing 76-year-old Bridge in Milledgeville, Closing Major Roadway for Nine Months

A stretch of one of Milledgeville's major thoroughfares will be out of commission for nine months as the Georgia Department of Transportation works to replace a roughly 76-year-old bridge, according to a press release from GDOT. 

The Mayor Harry G. Bone Bridge on South Wayne Street over Fishing Creek will begin its extended closure this week, the agency said in its release.
