Friday, May 16th, 2025

Five Star Automotive Group recently donated a 15-passenger van to the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Foundation.

The 2024 Ford Transit will join a fleet of vehicles in service by the College to transport students, faculty, and staff for events in Campus Life and Student Activities, Athletics and more.

“Every time a local organization, like Five Star chooses to support our students with generosity, it proves how strong our community is,” said Tonya McClure, CGTC’s associate vice president for Advancement, who oversees the College’s Foundation.

“We are grateful to Five Star Automotive for their donation and look forward to its use amongst the College for years to come.”

Plans to wrap the vehicle in the Titans brand are underway.

“We at Five Star Automotive were happy to donate and look forward to continuing our partnership with CGTC,” said Kyle Johnston, the regional manager for Five-Star Automotive Group.

Community partnerships and their resulting generosity are the lifeblood of initiatives within the CGTC Foundation. From equipment to monetary donations, local contributions have accounted for an increasing and record number of scholarship recipients annually. It has also supported the growth of athletics, provided access to student participation in clubs, student organizations, and study abroad opportunities, while forging a lasting impact on workforce development in Central Georgia.
