Perry Passes Pocket Parks Ordinance in New Subdivisions to Enhance Community Spaces

The city of Perry is taking steps to ensure its growing population has access to recreational spaces with a new ordinance requiring pocket parks in new subdivisions.
The amendment to Perry's Land Management Ordinance, adopted last Tuesday by the City Council, mandates that developers include neighborhood-scale parks in new subdivisions that aren't within walking distance (1,200 feet) of existing public parks.
