Middle Georgia Honor Flight will make its 25th trip to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, March 29. This full day of honor and remembrance will include 2 Korean War Veterans and 12 Vietnam Veterans, and leave Middle Georgia Regional Airport aboard Contour Airlines early Saturday morning.

When these veterans return to Middle Georgia around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, they will be greeted by a “Welcome Home” celebration is the airport terminal. This celebration is open to the public, and everyone is urged to wear patriotic colors and make banners to give these heroes the welcome they deserve.

As part of a nationwide network of more than 125 honor flights, Middle Georgia Honor Flight was founded in 2018, and has taken more than 330 veterans of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam to the nation’s capital to see their memorials, at no cost to the veterans.
