Memorial Park Upgrades Begin with Groundbreaking Ceremony

Macon-Bibb County broke ground Monday on a new phase of improvements at Memorial Park Recreation Center, launching a $1.1 million renovation project funded by the voter-approved Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).
Local officials and community members gathered at the 2nd Street park for the ceremony, which was broadcast live on the county’s Facebook page.
