The Houston County Board of Education recently honored employees who have served 30 or 35 years in the Houston County School District. 

During the March Board meeting, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Scott presented honorees with a plaque to honor their years of dedicated service. Each honoree also received a Years of Service pin, Houston County School District coin, and a gift bag. H.E.A. Federal Credit Union also presented each honoree with a cash award. 

The employees honored at the ceremony are listed below.

Honorees and guests attended a reception prior to the ceremony. The District’s Premier sponsors funded the reception. The 2024-2025 Premier Sponsors include the Development Authority of Houston County, Flint Energies, H.E.A. Federal Credit Union, Houston Healthcare, Parrish Construction, The Roderick Group, Totem Benefit Solutions, and Yancey Bus Sales and Service.

Staff who have served 25, 20, 15, 10 or 5 years in the District will be honored by their school or department throughout the remainder of the school year.
