'We Could Always Do More' | Bibb County Deputy Shortage Remains Stagnant

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office has battled deputy shortages for years. In 2022, the agency began offering part-time deputy jobs in an attempt to address the lack of officers.
In 2025, patrols remain understaffed. There are nearly 100 full-time deputies and 250 part-time working for the agency.
