Last year, the U.S. saw an 18% increase in homelessness, according to the Associated Press. That's due, in part, to a lack of affordable housing around the country.
Macon-Bibb County is one of just three Georgia cities, along with Atlanta and Savannah, to establish an Affordable Housing Fund.
