Laurens County Schools Have Been Separate from Dublin City Schools for Decades | Here's why

For as long as people can remember, the Laurens County and Dublin City School systems have operated apart. It's the only place in Central Georgia, and one of a few in the state, with separate city and county school districts.
Now, people are debating whether it's time to bring them together. Former Dublin City school board member and historian Scott Thompson said this isn't the first time people tried to unite the schools.
