Habitat for Humanity Milledgeville-Baldwin County celebrates 30th Anniversary
Tuesday, December 17th, 2024
Habitat for Humanity Milledgeville-Baldwin County is thrilled to celebrate 30 years of service to the Milledgeville community with a special anniversary event on Tuesday, December 17th, from 10:30am-12:30pm at Morning Grind coffee shop. This drop-in style event will feature complimentary coffee for attendees. Guests will have the opportunity to sign a commemorative stud that will be placed in the walls of our 20th home in Milledgeville. This celebration will also include a collection of photos showcasing memories from Habitat’s 30 years in Milledgeville. This event is open to the public, all are encouraged to stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee and join in commemorating three decades of service and impact.
This milestone year is especially meaningful as Habitat for Humanity Milledgeville-Baldwin County will be resuming new home construction in partnership with Macon Area Habitat for Humanity and the local land bank. We have acquired 4 properties with plans to build 4 houses by 2026. MBCHFH’s new construction program has been inactive since 2019 due to the pandemic. "We are excited about our new partnership allowing us to bring the Habitat mission back to MBC this year," said Ivey Hall, Executive Director for Macon Area Habitat for Humanity. "The Milledgeville-Baldwin County community has welcomed us back with open arms and we look forward to celebrating 30 years and many more to come with the community"
