Macon-Bibb County, Middle Georgia State University Partner to Honor Macon’s Veterans

Middle Georgia State University and Macon-Bibb County partnered for the 11th consecutive year to recognize Macon’s veterans.
The monument at Coleman Hill Park pays tribute to members of the 151st Machine Gun Battalion and the 42nd Infantry “Rainbow” Division of the Georgia Army National Guard during World War I. Among the soldiers who lost their lives from these divisions were 79 Macon residents–sacrifices Middle Georgia State University President Dr. Christopher Blake says will never be forgotten.
