Macon's Big Bike Ride Just One Week Away!

Bike Walk Macon is excited to announce that Macon’s first-ever Big Bike Ride is just one week away. This event will bring together middle Georgia’s bicyclists to advocate for safer, more connected streets, and there’s still time to sign up!

Macon’s Big Bike Ride will begin at Cherry Street Plaza at 6:30 PM on Friday, November 1st. Bike Walk Macon will lead participants on 7.5-mile slow roll through Downtown Macon and nearby neighborhoods, including InTown, Mercer, and Pleasant Hill. Along the way, riders will stop at key points to highlight exciting transportation projects already in progress and connect with fellow advocates to discuss future improvements for safer streets.

As a powerful statement in support of bike-friendly infrastructure and sustainable transportation, Macon’s Big Bike Ride is about more than just riding—it’s a movement. By participating, riders will help advocate for safer streets and contribute to Bike Walk Macon’s mission to promote biking and walking as essential parts of everyday life.

Registration is $10 per person, with kids 10 and under riding for free. Participants can also purchase the inaugural Macon’s Big Bike Ride t-shirt for $25. Day of registration will increase to $15. To register, visit www.bikewalkmacon.com/bigbikeride.
