Crisis Line & Safe House to Host Candlelight Vigils in Recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Friday, October 18th, 2024

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Crisis Line & Safe House is holding two candlelight vigils to honor victims of domestic violence, celebrate the strength of survivors, and unite the community in standing against abuse. The vigils will take place on Tuesday, October 29th in Macon and Wednesday, October 30th in Gray, Georgia. Both events are free and open to the public.

The vigils serve as a poignant reminder of the lives lost to domestic violence while offering hope and support to those who have survived and continue to heal. Community members are invited to attend these events and encouraged to bring friends and family members to show their commitment to ending domestic violence and collective support for victims, survivors, and their families.
