Atrium Health Navicent Shares Resources Available for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Atrium Health Navicent Peyton Anderson Cancer Center is raising awareness about breast cancer by encouraging screening for early detection and treatment.

Chief of Surgical Oncology for Atrium Health Navicent and Medical Director for Atrium Health Navicent Peyton Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Paul Dale, says women need to begin breast cancer screenings at 40-years-old. If women have a family history of breast cancer, it is important to talk to your primary care physician about screening before the age of 40.
