NewTown Macon Kicks Off First-Ever Espresso Martini Week in Downtown Macon
Friday, September 6th, 2024
NewTown Macon is thrilled to announce the inaugural Espresso Martini Week, sponsored by Z Beans Coffee and Longleaf Distilling Co. From Friday, September 6 to Saturday, September 14, coffee and cocktail enthusiasts alike can try a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic espresso martini specials in downtown’s locally owned and operated businesses.
Espresso Martini Week will spotlight the talents of downtown Macon’s best bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. With a wide range of unique takes on the classic espresso martini, there is a drink special to suit every palate.
“Events that highlight our culinary offerings attract hundreds of people downtown to support our locally owned and operated businesses,” said Emily Hopkins, Vice President of External Affairs and Main Street Manager at NewTown Macon. “Chelsea Hughes with Kinjo Kitchen + Cocktails approached NewTown with the idea of hosting an Espresso Martini Week and we immediately said yes. With the popularity of espresso martinis, we thought this would be an exciting challenge for our bars and restaurants and a fun way for customers to explore what downtown has to offer.”
Seventeen businesses will offer espresso martini specials during their normal hours of operation from September 6 to September 14. Participants include Black Cat, Braddock’s Cask and Table, The Brick, Circa, JBA, Just Tap’d, Kinjo Kitchen & Cocktails, Longleaf Distilling Co., Hotel Forty Five, Miramar, Oliver’s, Reboot Retrocade & Bar, Reckon at Hotel Forty Five, Rose Room, Sweet Eleanor’s Divine Desserts, VIBEZ, and the Vintage Restaurant at the Marriott.
Customers can pick up a passport to track the specials they try for a chance to win prizes from the event sponsors, Z Beans Coffee and Longleaf Distilling Co. Customers can also vote on their favorite special. The business with the most votes will be crowned the Martini Master.
