The Georgia Department of Education officially released the 2023-24 PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Levels of Recognition status for each school. This year, Bibb County School District has 27 Distinguished Schools.

PBIS is an evidence-based, data-driven framework proven to reduce disciplinary incidents, increase a school's sense of safety and support improved academic outcomes. The Georgia DOE Office of Whole Child assigns each school a level of recognition based on their PBIS implementation level, discipline data and PBIS assessment data.
