Wednesday, August 7th, 2024

In business since 1992, local building materials supplier Macon Door & Hardware is now under new ownership and management. Rick Stevens purchased the assets of Macon Door & Hardware in March 2023 and has since established a fresh company-wide commitment to excellence. While Macon Door & Hardware is a recognized name in the community, it now has a revitalized focus on delivering quality and proving its value as a partner to businesses and contractors throughout the Middle Georgia region.

“We have basically started from scratch to rebuild this company’s reputation and reignite our passion for delivering exceptional work from the design phase to project completion and beyond,” said Stevens. “Our team is eager to provide door and hardware solutions to commercial clients across Middle Georgia and in the surrounding areas, whether it’s replacement projects for small businesses or new installations for large construction projects. Macon Door & Hardware is committed to delivering excellence at every step.”

Meet Rick Stevens

Rick Stevens is a long-time Georgia resident who moved from Michigan with his wife, Christy, a Macon native, following college graduation. Stevens first attended Bob Jones University in South Carolina, where he studied carpentry and later accounting. He then transferred to Baker College in Michigan, his home state, where he ultimately earned his degree in accounting.

Combining his two interests, Stevens spent years as an accounting controller for construction companies in Georgia. In 2009, he founded Stevens Financial Group, a financial planning firm which he still owns today.

When he purchased Macon Door & Hardware in 2023, Stevens's goal was and is to utilize his talents and knowledge of the construction industry to best serve contractors, businesses, and organizations in need of door and hardware installation services.
