Helms College Honors Graduates at August Ceremony in Macon

Helms College is proud to announce its August Graduation Ceremony, set to take place on August 13, 2024, at 6:30 PM at the Anderson Conference Center, located at 5171 Eisenhower Parkway. This momentous event will honor the accomplishments of the graduating students and feature a keynote address by Kristine Furtaw, Senior Vice President for Education Operations at Helms College.

Kristine Furtaw, a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in education, has been instrumental in shaping the educational landscape at Helms College. In her current role, she oversees all aspects of both college campuses (Macon and Augusta), ensuring a vibrant and inclusive environment for both students and staff. Furtaw’s extensive background includes roles such as President of Arizona College of Nursing in Tampa, Florida, and Regional Vice President at Ross Education, where she significantly expanded educational programs across multiple states.

Helms College President James K. Stiff will also address the graduates, commending their hard work and dedication. "Graduation marks a pivotal moment in our students' lives, and we are thrilled to have Kristine Furtaw share her insights and wisdom with our graduates," said James K. Stiff, President of Helms College. "Her commitment to student success and excellence in education will undoubtedly inspire our graduates as they embark on their next journey."

Graduates from various programs, including Culinary Arts, Hospitality, and HVAC/R, will be celebrated for their perseverance and achievements. The ceremony will be attended by faculty, staff, family, and friends who have supported the graduates throughout their educational journey.
