Nora Schuber, an eighth-grade student from Bonaire Middle School, was selected as a winner in the National School Bus Safety Poster Contest. Her winning poster will be used nationwide to promote National School Bus Safety Week in October. She received $250 from the National Association for Pupil Transportation in recognition of her achievement. Her art teacher is Rachel Jackson. 

Nora said, “I'm very grateful to my teacher, Mrs. Jackson, for encouraging me in this contest, and I'm very excited to win at the national level!”

The theme of the 2024-2025 National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest will be “Safety First – Safety Always.” Houston County students will have an opportunity to participate in that poster contest later this year. The state competition is sponsored by the Georgia Association for Pupil Transportation.
