New Teachers to Receive Special Welcome

The Bibb County School District will kick off New Teacher Orientation on Monday, July 22, at 8 a.m. at Northeast High School. The school is located at 1646A Upper River Road, and members of the media are invited to attend.
During the kickoff, Superintendent Dr. Dan A. Sims will welcome all of the District’s new educators, including teachers who are new to the field as well as those who are joining the team from another district. New Teacher Orientation will run from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. from July 22 through July 26, with teachers learning about various aspects of working in Bibb County, including classroom management, curriculum, benefits and more.
Additionally, the District is partnering with its Business Education Partnership and the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce to present a New Teachers Welcome Reception on Wednesday, July 24, from 3-5 p.m. at Northeast High. This event will include remarks by renowned educator and school leader Ron Clark, who also appeared on Season 38 of “Survivor.”
