Macon Bacon’s Annual Strikeout Cancer Night

The Macon Bacon held their annual Strike Out Cancer night on Thursday at Luther Williams Field.  Bacon players wore the ‘Strike Out Cancer; jerseys with the phrase on the back of their jersey, in place of their names, in solidarity of the cause to battle cancer.

Fans, coaches, and players from both teams alike all joined together in the fifth inning to hold up signs to display to everyone who they fight this disease for. Prior to the game, Bacon players, coaches, and staff members sat down with Bacon intern Allie Campbell one-on-one to talk about how cancer has impacted them and why this cause means so much to the organization.
