Political Forum for Bibb County School Board Candidates and Incombents

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, March 18th, 2024

Georgia Women (And Those Who Stand With Us), together with an alliance of leading community organizations, is thrilled to unveil plans for an essential political forum targeting the Bibb County Board of Education candidates, existing school board members and community stakeholders. This significant gathering is scheduled for March 18, 2024, and will be hosted at the Government Building, 700 Poplar Street, Macon, Georgia, between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

The forum seeks to facilitate a meaningful exchange between community members and candidates, addressing pressing educational concerns and aspirations. School board members play a crucial role in shaping the educational landscape of our local communities, impacting the lives of students, educators, and parents. Their responsibilities and decisions directly influence the quality of education, setting the direction for public schools.

This forum presents an invaluable platform for direct interaction with the frontrunners in education, allowing community members to voice their queries and insights. Through this dialogue, we seek to sculpt an educational landscape that is reflective of our collective vision for Macon Bibb's future.  We are united in the belief that education is a fundamental building block for the bright future of all Macon Bibb residents.

A partnership of influential organizations, deeply dedicated to civic empowerment and the holistic progress of our community, have joined forces to ensure the success of this event.
