Monroe County TSPLOST Passes with Over 57% of the Vote

While much of the attention was on the presidential primary in Georgia's 2024 election, there was a major local election in Monroe County that passed Tuesday evening.
Monroe County voters passed the TSPLOST, a 1% sales tax that is specifically earmarked for transportation projects in the county.
