Lindsey Student Support Center February Events

The Lindsey Student Support Center (LSSC) will host the following events for students and their families. All will be held at the LSSC.
Cooking Class: February 5 & 12 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
In partnership with Houston Healthcare, cooking classes are offered to students in grades 4-12.
Houston Cares Health Clinic: February 9 & 10 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. & February 11 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Services will include health exams, hearing screenings, basic dental cleanings, vision care, vaccinations, mental health resources, and early childhood screening. During the health clinic, there will also be representatives onsite to help families apply for Medicaid, Peach Care, and WIC. All services are free.
Family Engagement, EFMP Binders/Information Night: February 15 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Military families are invited to learn more about the Exceptional Family Member Program and other support resources. Representatives from Robins Air Force Base will be present.
Growing Together: IEP Binders: February 22 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Our parent mentor will lead families through organizing a binder for IEP documents and paperwork.
Sewing Class: February 26 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
We are excited to offer a quilting workshop for students in grades 4-12. The class will also be held March 4, March 11, March 18, and March 25.
Target Tuesday: Each Tuesday during February from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Students in grades 4-12 will be able to complete an arts & crafts project.
