Largest Pickleball Tournament Macon Has Ever Hosted!

Monday, February 12th, 2024

Rhythm and Rally is getting ready for the Southern Pickleball's Macon Love 2024 Valentine's Tournament Presented by Head Pickleball, which will take place from Friday, February 9th to Sunday, February 11th. The tournament will be held in the world's largest indoor pickleball facility.

The Macon Love 2024 Valentine's Tournament has set a new record as the largest tournament ever hosted in Macon, with 850 players registered from over 17 states. Pickleball enthusiasts from all over the country will be gathering in Macon to showcase their skills and passion for the game.

Annette Flaming, who traveled from Hilton Head Island to participate in the tournament, shared her excitement about the facility. "I was initially hesitant about playing indoors. However, I've since fallen in love with the facility. Rhythm and Rally has become our favorite spot to play."

This will be her second tournament at Rhythm and Rally, "We're committed to returning to Macon for as many tournaments as possible! There are so many exciting things happening in this area and can't wait for the amphitheater to open!"

The state-of-the-art complex boasts 32 courts - 16 upstairs and 16 downstairs, with four pods of four courts on each level. The 150,000-square-foot pickleball facility offers climate-controlled courts, all in a clean and fun playing environment. With a pro-shop, food and beverage options coming soon.

"The best place on the planet to play indoor pickleball is right here in Macon, Georgia," said Paul Midkiff, co-founder of Southern Pickleball.

Last year’s tournament was expected to bring in an estimated $188,000 in economic impact. However, because of weather conditions, the event was not able to be played in full. With the development of Rhythm & Rally as the world’s largest indoor pickleball facility, weather does not pose a concern. That has led to participation numbers that are more than double what was expected in 2023. Coupled with Visit Macon’s efforts to grow hotel rates market-wide, we are expecting an estimated economic impact of nearly $400,000 this year.
