Brendalyn Bailey Takes Macon-Bibb District 9 Seat, Filling Al Tillman’s Position

Macon-Bibb Commissioners have approved Brendalyn Bailey to take over the Macon-Bibb District 9 seat formerly occupied by Al Tillman, who announced his retirement earlier this month.

Macon-Bibb says the county charter gives commissioners 20 days to appoint someone to the seat or a special election would need to be held. Tillman’s seat wasn’t set to expire until December 31, 2024.
