All regular Macon-Bibb County workers hired before July 1 will be getting a one-time “retention bonus” with $4.1 million in remaining American Rescue Plan Act, or ARPA, funds.
After about 15 minutes in executive session, commissioners unanimously supported and co-sponsored the bonuses, which will not apply to elected officials.
