Macon Leaders Likely to Extend Contour Airlines' Service at Middle Georgia Regional Airport

The Macon-Bibb County Commission is expected to pass a resolution authorizing the mayor to execute agreements with Contour Airlines for continued essential air service at Middle Georgia Regional Airport.
The resolution, if approved Tuesday, will approve lease and subsidy agreements not to exceed $20,205,775 through September 2027. The funding comes from a U.S. Department of Transportation grant awarded to the county to ensure ongoing passenger service at the airport.
